Ok, I Need Some Marketing Help. I Have Registered A Domain Name For A Specific Niche Market And Want To Create

a directory to include companies that offer a particular service or product. I am wondering how to approach these vendors to place a description of there product/service on my site with a direct link to there site. Would I offer this free of charge, just to get traffic coming to my site, could I charge a low annual or monthly listing fee, and what would be a practical amount to ask for? If anyone has any thoughts and/or experience regarding something like this, please let me know. The idea is to get traffic coming to my site, but I don’t want to just give out free advertising…please help!

You need some kind of content that’s of value and is being updated on a regular basis. This way people will want to come back. Nobody spends their valuable time to go to a site and see a bunch of ads and a directory listing. Let’s say you want your directory to be for the construction industry. Yes, you would want ads that would feature businesses that professionals in the construction industry would find interesting. But to get those people to spend time hangin’ out and keep coming back – which is important if you want to get ad dollars – you need to provide some valuable information that will make people believe that what you have is helpful and it’s a place worth visiting. Go for complimentary and not competitive. For example a site for Realtors would have ads for mortgage companies, appraisors, title companies, interior decorators, H.O. insurance, etc. To get people to pay for ads you need to have a lot of traffic – otherwise what are they paying for, right? You appeal to them by telling them their customers will be hangin’ out – and then drive traffic there to make it happen. So offering the ads free or at a low cost as a trial – say for the first three months – depending on how fast you believe you can build up your traffic – is a great idea. You could offer different ad packages based not just on the size of the ad – but maybe every three months you write a feature article about one of your advertisers. And not just a sales piece – but something where they provide a few tips that people will actually read. Those articles become part of the content. That would be the “premier” advertising package. Hope this is helpful to you.All the best,Denise MichaelsAuthor, “Testosterone-free Marketing”Get the book at: http://www.tfmbook.com Visit me online at: http://www.mentoringwithdenise.com

Biz put ads in a town not a village. they would pay even more if it is a metropolitan. so you need to get traffic first before thinking about charging others. if you need info on biz marketing you can check out my site.

Sounds like you are just starting. Before you considering selling ads, you should focus on getting traffic to your website. An easy formula to consider is

seo + forums + social networks = traffic

of course, there are more complex concepts but the Arcos formula is the easiest and most affordable.

After consistent application you may be able to offer free reviews to advertisers for their products or service, with an option to buy a premium service.

Hits Or Niches: Why Marketing Is Boring, Obnoxious, And Annoying And What You Can Do About It

Most marketing today is boring, obnoxious, and annoying. We have electronic gadgets designed to remove the marketing from our recorded media. We train ourselves to ignore the advertisements on television and radio. Businesses would love to have a share of our wallet and in some cases, we’d love to give it to them. But I find myself intentionally choosing not to do business with certain folks simply because their marketing is insulting. Rick and I believe that, the way most folks do it, marketing is fundamentally broken. We’d like to offer some advice on what each of us can do, both as entrepreneurs who create and as consumers to fight back against marketing that’s boring, obnoxious, and annoying.

Marketing And Selling Construction Services

At the global and local level contractors and consultants have had to take a more professional approach to marketing and sales. Some construction firms are being restructured into client-oriented organizations. However, in all organizations there is considerable room to develop marketing and sales to enhance opportunities to grow and to protect markets during times of recession.

This book demonstrates how marketing and sales can be developed. Specifically it:

  • introduces selling techniques tailored to the needs of construction
  • evaluates competing approaches to marketing and related sales theory
  • demonstrates the effect of these on organizational structures and processes, and
  • examines how the top down and bottom up management approaches can be integrated through sales practice.

The book aims to achieve a balance between a strategic overview and the practicalities of sales and marketing. It does not offer a single blueprint, but rather a range of distinctive options from which the reader can make informed choices.

What Is A Good Niche Market To Pursue To Make Money That People Will Want To Read About Online?

I am starting a blog and eventually a websiteBy the way. How can i send a person a direct message on this website?

I Agree, you need to find a niche that will be something that you are at the very least interested in, so that you can be motivated to find out more about it. You don’t need to be an expert about the topic, just be interested in it and be willing to find out more about it and share your findings and your thoughts with other people. That being said. You need to find a topic that has a market that is hungry for the information you want to provide. For example, It doesnt matter how passionate you are about belly button lint, if no one else is interested in it or worse yet willing to pay for information, services or products related to belly button lint. Does that make sense? So you need to find topics that people are actively searching for and that there are already products being marketed to those people. If you need help coming up with topics here is a great article on how to uncover the hidden assets in your mind.http://lucrativeleverage.com/blog/2009/06/hidden-assets-in-your-mind/ Once you have the list you can do some keyword searching to find out how popular your topics are.I would also start doing searches for problems related to your topic that you can answer for people. remember when people search online they are looking for answers to problems. So you should be looking for problems that you can answer.keep collecting the questions you find and eventually you will stumble upon a great product/service.Check out amazon.com and see the products they have listed there that relate to your topic. Check out the magazine section for your topic as well. Magazines cost lots of money to run if someone is spending lots of money to print a magazine and they have lots of readers spending money, thats a good indicator that the market is good. Also check out places like http://clickbank.com go to the marketplace and see what products are being sold related to your topic.Hope that helps you out.LuisIf you liked my answer checkouthttp://www.lucrativeleverage.com

What Is A Good Niche Market To Sell To On Ebay?

Much has been written about the ‘long tail’ of the web. What type of product would be a good starter eBay business?

Whatever you can buy at a price that allows you to sell at a profit. It must be in demand as well.

Find a item that is in high demand and concentrate on it and similar items. My wife, who is Russian, sold a lot of Russian products on EBay. My son sells orchids in the thousands.

Hi there.. I also dabble in Ebay sales. You will find sellers very reluctant to give you advice on products. I started with things around the home. I have artist friends so I sell some of their pieces for a commission. This is my most profitable venture. Right now people are making money selling those shoe charms for crocs. Keep your eyes and mind open to possibilities..

Stuff that you understand and can support with reliability guarantee that what you sell would work. That is the only way to succeed on ebay or you will be burnt with the negative feedback that you may never recover from.

Good luck,

EBay is the largest online marketplace and one of the most popular ways to earn an income from home with a PC and internet connection. Selling on eBay is inexpensive and easy to start. Ebay has a number of tools for sellers to maximise sales. These are eBay Pulse, Hot items report, merchandising calendar. By sourcing products at a low price, you can increase your profit. Check out http://tinyurl.com/rygsh for more details.

Baby Gifts and Computer Accesories are always popular on eBay.

If You Were To Start A Temporary Staffing Agency, What Niche Field Would It Be In?

I’m interested in starting a staffing company and would like to fill a niche in a market for employment. Everyone does finance or administrative. What is one that you haven’t seen or don’t see enough of? If you’re unemployed and in a niche market, what is it?

Going into tax season, I’d do tax preparers. I’d find a way to tier my workers (CPA’s on top, EA’s in the middle, and experienced non-certifieds at the bottom). I’d also group them by experience (either individual, payroll or business depending on what they’ve done).Everyone needs their taxes done, so you have a good chance at high volume for 4 months to get you going.

A less glamorous but very profitable an easy niche is labor. Laborers are easy to find and many employers have constant needs for laborers for short-term projects.

I would build the business on the fact that I have experienced people with their own equipment to handle all your labor needs. Forklift Operators, Class A drivers; Equipment Operators; Janitors; Hazardous Waste Clean Up Crews. Tree Trimmers.

I would contract with actual business and act as a sub-contractor for them.

Successful Niche Marketing?

How do I go about identifying profitable niches in Internet Marketing? We all know some of the popular niches like golf and fly fishing. But these categories are too competitive with incumbents who have already paved the way into the market place. I realized that it may not be that simple to just get into the common niche markets like this and be successful. The hurdles are also stacked against you in terms of bidding for PPC adwords (going to be costly) and even if you were to do JVs, I believe these relevant JV partners would already have been approached by earlier incumbents. Finally, the crux of the matter is also the lack of a frim understanding for most people in terms of the kind of tools that one can use to scan the market place for niche keywords which leads to an understanding of the types of market demand in question. The keyword results is based on what base keyword you type in and hence limited to that one category of choice for eg golf.

The tool to use is called word tracker http://www.wordtracker.com/ — it is supposed to deliver what keywords are actually been searched. it has a limited free version / demo .. they say if you are serious about internet marketing you gotta use this tool. It is exactly targeted to niche keywords identification.
